Chemical Physics Letters publishes brief reports on molecules, interfaces, condensed phases, nanomaterials and nanostructures, polymers, biomolecular systems, and energy conversion and storage. Criteria for publication are quality, urgency and impact. Further, experimental results reported in the journal have direct relevance for theory, and theoretical developments or non-routine computations relate directly to experiment. Manuscripts must satisfy these criteria and should not be minor extensions of previous work.

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry, with variations in title and format, has been published since 1909 by the American Chemical Society. Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research is a bi-monthly publication that reports industrial and academic research in the broad fields of applied chemistry and chemical engineering with special focus on fundamentals, processes, and products. Papers may be based on work that is experimental or theoretical, mathematical or descriptive, chemical or physical. In addition to fundamental research (in such areas as thermodynamics, transport phenomena, chemical reaction kinetics and engineering, catalysis, separations, interfacial phenomena, and materials), papers may deal with process design and development (for example, synthesis and design methods, systems analysis, process control, schemes for data correlation, modeling and scale-up procedures, etc.) and product research and development involving chemical and engineering aspects (for example, catalysts, plastics, elastomers, fibers, adhesives, coatings, paper, membranes, lubricants, ceramics, aerosols, etc.). In addition to traditional subjects, papers dealing with new areas of science and technology that fit the broad scope and objectives of the journal are encouraged.

The Journal of Chemical Physics publishes concise and definitive reports of significant research in methods and applications of chemical physics. Innovative research in traditional areas of chemical physics such as spectroscopy, kinetics, statistical mechanics, and quantum mechanics continue to be areas of interest to readers of JCP. In addition, newer areas such as polymers, materials, surfaces/interfaces, information theory, and systems of biological relevance are of increasing importance. Routine applications of chemical physics techniques may not be appropriate for JCP. Content is published online daily, collected into four monthly online and printed issues (48 issues per year); the journal is published by the American Institute of Physics.

The application contains all the elements of the Periodic Table along with images of the elements in their natural state, as well as lots of other information and interactive displays. The Periodic Table Explore has a completely new and innovative user interface that allows for an almost unlimited amount of control over the display. Each display can be opened any number of times, and can show different information. The size, shape and position of each display can be customised too. You can save your favourite layouts for retrieval at a later date. The periodic table now comes in three versions. They all contain the same amount of information. Detailed information on each element Details of isotopes and allotropes Details of important compounds Details of reactions with water, air, halogens and acids Images for each element (300+ images in total), including valence and crystal stucture diagrams Glossary of terms Graphs of important element properties Biographies for the important scientists and element discoverers View the states of the elements at any temperature (from 0 - 6000k) XP style support Search through all content Electron shell diagrams of each element (including orbitals) Atomic width diagram Element names and the majority of the applications buttons are now available in eight different languages. Unfortunately there is just too much text for me to translate (95000+ words).

The Journal of Chemical Education is the official journal of the Division of Chemical Education of the American Chemical Society, co-published with the American Chemical Society Publications Division. Launched in 1924, the Journal of Chemical Education is the world’s premier chemical education journal. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles and related information as a resource to those in the field of chemical education and to those institutions that serve them. JCE typically addresses chemical content, activities, laboratory experiments, instructional methods, and pedagogies. The Journal serves as a means of communication among people across the world who are interested in the teaching and learning of chemistry. This includes instructors of chemistry from middle school through graduate school, professional staff that support these teaching activities, as well as some scientists in commerce, industry, and government. Journal Sections and Types of Content The Journal of Chemical Education is a monthly, subscription-only journal published both in print and online. In addition to the full-text articles appearing in both venues, supplemental materials in a variety of formats are published online. Electronic formats of archival content are available from 1924 (Volume 1) to the present. The content of the Journal is currently organized into several sections that define the materials primary use or function: * General information: News, commentary, reports, columns, and book/media reviews. * Content for a broad audience: Descriptions of applications, history, or interdisciplinary activities or those that promote public understanding. * Content from or for the classroom: Teaching tips, methods, demonstrations, content, and principles. * Content from or for the laboratory: Experiments, demonstrations, techniques, equipment, or instrumentation. * Research in education and science: Descriptions of chemical education research based on learning theories, tested by experiments, and corroborated by data; or scientific research with a clear and direct connection to teaching or learning. * Classroom Activities: Hands-on activities that can be done in the classroom or laboratory and/or as a take-home project. Within or across sections, JCE is also organized using a set of Features. Features can describe an audience (e.g., Secondary School Chemistry), a type of laboratory experiment (e.g., Green Chemistry or Microscale), a column or report type (e.g., Research Advances), or a practical attribute (e.g., Cost Effective Teacher). Feature Editors donate their time and expertise, serving as authors, organizers, or reviewers.

The Chemical Engineering Journal focuses upon three aspects of chemical engineering: chemical reaction engineering, environmental chemical engineering, and materials synthesis and processing. The Chemical Engineering Journal is an international research journal and invites contributions of original and novel fundamental research. The journal aims to provide an international forum for the presentation of original fundamental research, interpretative reviews and discussion of new developments in chemical engineering. Papers which describe novel theory and its application to practice are welcome, as are those which illustrate the transfer of techniques from other disciplines. Reports of carefully executed experimental work, which is soundly interpreted are also welcome. The overall focus is on original and rigorous research results which have generic significance. Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Environmental Chemical Engineering section presents papers dealing with topics in environmental chemical and process engineering. Treatment and environmental separation processes, environmental process control, measurement and simulation, clean process technology and waste minimization include the topics which are covered. Papers in which knowledge from other disciplines is integrated with chemical engineering are especially welcome. Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Chemical Reaction Engineering section presents papers on a wide range of topics including reaction kinetics, applied catalysis, simulation and optimization of different types of reactors, unsteady-state reactors, multiphase reactors, and fundamental investigations of the processes of heat, mass and momentum transfer that take place along with chemical reaction. Research works addressing critical areas of reactor engineering (e.g. reactor materials, control strategies, reactor safety and environmental issues), and emerging reactor technologies (e.g. membrane reactors, chromatographic reactors, unconventional fluidized beds, electrochemical reactors, micro-reactors, etc.) are particularly welcome. Within the Chemical Engineering Journal, the Materials Synthesis and Processing section presents papers dealing with different aspects of the preparation and characterization of advanced materials. Novel physical and chemical methods of synthesis will be covered, as well as the processes used to obtain materials of different morphologies (particles, films, fibers), and to modify their surface and structural properties, always from a chemical engineering point of view. Manuscripts dealing with micro- and nano-structured materials, and those describing the preparation of composite and hybrid materials with advanced properties are especially welcome. Comments and Proposals: We are interested in receiving comments/feedback on this and our other journals and welcome publication proposals for books, electronic products, new journals and co-operation for existing journals.
